Family Background
Haluwah hails from Kitatya Village, Kayunga District (Central Uganda). When she was just five months old, her father abandoned the family, leaving her mother to raise five children alone. Her mother works tirelessly as a small-scale farmer and runs a grocery stall to provide for the family.
Due to limited income, Haluwah’s education was frequently interrupted by unpaid school dues. Despite this, she showed remarkable talent and passion for music and dance from a young age.
How Rockies Organization Stepped In
In November 2021, Haluwah joined Rockies Organization, which offered her educational sponsorship and a platform to nurture her artistic talents. She is currently in Primary Seven at Twinlight Children’s Centre and thriving both academically and artistically.
Talent, Uniqueness & Achievements
Haluwah is an exceptional dancer and singer, well-versed in traditional dances including Bakisimba, Nankasa, Muwogola (Central Uganda); Adungu Dance (West Nile); Tamenha Ibuga, Irongo, and Nalufuka (Eastern Uganda). Her grace, expressive performance style, and vocal talent set her apart as a future leader in the arts.
Aspirations
Haluwah aspires to become a professional nurse, driven by her desire to provide healthcare to underserved children in Uganda. She is committed to using her talent and education to uplift her community.
