Family Background

Arinda Blessing was born in Nombe 2B Village, in Rubindi Sub-county, Mbarara District, Western Uganda. She was raised by her grandmother, who became her primary caregiver. While their home environment was not the harshest, life was still a daily balancing act. With limited resources and no stable income, the family often struggled to pay school fees on time, which meant Blessing faced delays in school attendance and missed learning opportunities.

Despite these challenges, Blessing remained curious, disciplined, and drawn to movement. Her natural talent for dance shone through at home and in her local community, although she had no formal training. It wasn’t until a brother, already connected to Rockies Organization, introduced her during a talent search that her life began to change.

How Rockies Organization Stepped In

In 2024, Blessing was invited to join Rockies Organization after being identified during a talent search led by her older brother. The team quickly saw her potential — a young girl eager to learn and excited to grow in both academics and the arts.

She was enrolled in the education sponsorship program and began participating in performance training. That same year, she was admitted to Form One (Senior One), a milestone that brought joy and new hope to her and her grandmother.

Blessing is currently enrolled in Form One (Senior One), continuing her academic journey with renewed confidence and consistent support through Rockies Organization’s sponsorship program.

Talent, Uniqueness & Achievements

Blessing is a promising traditional dancer, whose energy, poise, and joy on stage reflect her deep love for the craft. She began performing with Rockies in 2024, and her most memorable moment to date was the first time she was selected to perform with the troupe, a day she describes with pride and gratitude.

She loves everything about being on stage, especially dancing alongside her fellow performers. Her sense of rhythm, discipline during rehearsals, and cheerful attitude has already made her stand out as one of the troupe’s rising stars.

Aspirations

Blessing dreams of becoming a great singer and sees music and dance as tools to inspire others and express her voice. At the same time, she is passionate about health and hopes to become a nurse after school – someone who can bring healing and care to her community.
