Family Background

Enock was born in Wakiso District (Central Uganda) into an extended family of eight siblings, living together with their parents and other relatives. His father works as a mason and farmer, while his mother is a farmer. Despite their hard work, his parents’ low income made it difficult to cover school fees for all eight children, along with other household necessities.

How Rockies Organization Stepped In

Enock’s journey with Rockies began in February 2018, thanks to a relative who, after seeing the troupe perform at an event, encouraged him to join. Enock was drawn to the group’s strong sense of community, deep respect for traditional culture, and promise of educational support. Since then, Rockies has sponsored his education, while also providing accommodation, medical care, and a platform to develop his talents in dance, acting, and playing musical instruments. He is currently on vacation, having completed his Advanced Level exams last year.

Talent, Uniqueness & Achievements

Enock is a gifted dancer, excelling in traditional dances such as Ekizino, Ekitaguriro, and Runyege-Ntogoro (Western Uganda), as well as Kadodi (Eastern Uganda). He is also skilled in playing various traditional instruments, with a special strength in the bass bow harp. One of his proudest moments was leading a traditional dance for the first time during a major performance — an experience that boosted his confidence and deepened his passion for the arts.

Aspirations

Enock aspires to become an entrepreneur after completing his education. He dreams of establishing a chain of hotels and recreational facilities across the country, creating jobs and promoting local culture.
