Family Background

Julius hails from Ludari Village, Arua District (West Nile Uganda). He is one of 19 children in a polygamous family that struggled with poverty. Driven by a desire to change his family’s fortunes, Julius took on odd jobs from an early age to raise school fees, He did all this while trying to improve his inherent talent in performing arts.

How Rockies Organization Stepped In
Julius joined Rockies Organization in 2015 through the encouragement of his elder brother. Rockies offered him a platform to nurture his musical talents while supporting his academic journey. Currently Julius is in Senior six, pursuing his Advanced level education at St. Andrew’s College Ssanda.

Talent, Uniqueness & Achievements

Julius is very skilled at playing both traditional and western musical instruments. He is proficient at playing the Saxophone, Piano, bow harp and traditional drums. He is equally good at traditional dances such as Ekizino and Runyege-Ntogoro (Western Uganda), Kadodi (Eastern Uganda), and Larakaraka (Northern Uganda).

On two occasions, he was part of a team that represented Uganda at the AfroChinese Art and Folklore Festival in Egypt.

Aspirations
Julius dreams of becoming a music producer and establishing a music school in his village to inspire and equip young musicians.
